The Gate T o
Unknown
I've been to the gate at the edge of Unknown
Dragging my feet I've walked there alone
Each treading was different; fearing my fate
I always felt frightened approaching the gate
While the place of Unknown beckons to all
The gate is the test; Unknown is the call
To pass through the gate there is only one way
Put your hand into God's; walk slowly and pray
Each time passing through the gate of Unknown
I found from the passage my weak faith has grown
I discovered there were new dreams to be born
With change as my gift in the glare of new morn
Today I reflect on Unknown's endless land
And places I found which I don't understand
Still I found while I walked frightened and slow
That Unknown is really a good place to go
